Radiology–it's more than just x-rays!
Our registered technologists perform all procedures with the utmost proficiency and professionalism.
Our computer tomography (CT) scanner is a GE helical spiral scanner. It can scan all parts of the body and is available 24 hours a day.
Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)—we are equipped to scan patients of all ages from children to the elderly. We perform spine imaging, brain imaging and all orthopedic modalities.
Our diagnostic imaging department has two newly installed digital fluoroscopy units. All our routine fluoroscopy and radiographs are done in this department. Diagnostic imaging has a state-of-the-art Sophy Dual head variable angle gamma camera. Our diagnostic nuclear medicine studies are also performed with the new camera. This versatile camera is wonderful for older patients as well as pediatric.
All cardiac stress imaging as well as echocardiograms and some vascular work is performed in this department. This department also performs tests such as bone studies, nepato biliary iminodiacetic acid (HIDA) scans and bleeding scans.
Our ultrasound department has two dedicated units that perform approximately 300 studies a month. These include obstetric, vascular, abdominal, breast and many other small-part ultrasounds.
Our mammography department is accredited by the American College of Radiology. All our technicians are also registered in mammography. All mammograms are performed on the most sophisticated equipment available. Digital mammography provides faster exams and incredibly detailed images. It also ensures that the patient receives lower radiation, while the results display higher sensitivity to abnormalities. This technology helps detect breast cancer at its earliest stages, when it is most successfully treatable.
